    My wife and I are not professional photographers. We are simply blessed with 2 active kids and a desire to capture every moment we can for when we are old and grey! Sure you could do that with a point-and-shoot camera. There are many on the market and yes, we own several. But, try taking a picture of a 5-year old zipping by on a scooter or a 10-year old breaking a board with a Taekwondo kick with that point and shoot and you will most likely miss the shot.     This is an excellent camera and lense combination. I just love the ease of use and the picture quality is amazing. The image sharpness is very good to excellent, rivaling cameras costing much more. The adjustment capability allows great exposure, aperture and focal length control. This camera is easy to use. This lense is great for all around photography, sacrificing a little low light capability. Read more
