Features

The Sony HDR-FX7 incorporates three ¼” ClearVID CMOS sensors with 1120k effective pixels to provide details and clarity with video performance of up to 1080 lines of resolution – HD and still image performance of up to 1037k – 16:9. Besides that, the Sony HDR-FX7 is also capable of recording and playing back both High Definition and Standard Definition video recorded on standard MiniDV cassettes. In addition to that, the Sony HDR-FX7 also incorporates a Sony developed Real Time MPEG Encode/ Decode system that reduces energy consumption in a compact size to fit in a personal camcorder to provide efficient MPG2 compression, and recording and playback of clear HD images at the same bit rate of the DV format so that High Definition video can be recorded on the same cassette as are used for MiniDV recording. Additionally, it also features 20x Optical zoom Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T Lens that maintains image clarity and colour while reducing glare and flare. There is also a Digital Extender mode that is available throughout the entire zoom range that can digitally enhance the zoom up to 1.5 times the current position. Additionally, the Sony HDR-FX7 spots a 3.5” Wide (16:9) Hybrid Clear Photo LCD plus display that has a resolution of 211k pixels to provide excellent viewing clarity to make images sharp and detailed during playback or when monitoring recording. Other features include Super SteadyShot Optical Stabilization System, an advanced form of Sony’s SteadyShot Image Stabilization system that controls an even higher range of shake and vibration frequencies.
