The Canon VIXIA HR10 is a professional camcorder created by Canon. The Canon VIXIA HR10 is 140 mm x 189 mm x 314 mm (W x D x H) without the lens hood and grip belt and weighs approximately 4.6 lbs. The Canon VIXIA HR10 has a 3.5mm 2 XLR inputs with phantom power (+48v) microphone terminal and uses a 2-channel recording/MPEG1 Audio Layer II as its audio system. The camcorder uses a CA-920 power supply. The Canon VIXIA HR10 has a 2.8" Widescreen LCD capable of producing 207,000 pixels.

Besides that, it is able to produce an effective pixel count of approximately 1.56 megapixels for HD tape recordings, 1.17 megapixels for SD 4:3 mode tape recordings and 1.56 megapixels for SD 16:9 mode tape recordings. The lens of the Canon VIXIA HG10 has an optical zoom ratio of 20 X. In addition to that, it is also has a focal length 4.5mm - 90mm with a maximum F/Stop of f/1.6 — 35mm and a 72mm filter size. It also has an Outdoor, Indoor, Manual, Set (2x), Color Temperature white balance. The Canon VIXIA HG10 uses a SuperRange Optical for image stabilization. Apart from that, the Canon VIXIA HG10 has a 3 Mode Instant Auto Focus AF system and uses a Widescreen .57" Color Viewfinder that is capable of producing 269,000 pixels. The camcorder uses a MiniDV Cassette as its recording media. The DV terminal of the camcorder is an IEEE 1394 while the Video terminals consist of a LANC terminal, a BNC Video, a Component Video, and a Composite Video.
